Cricket for Blind: India lose ODI series

Sri Lanka upset World Champions India 2-1 in the three-match ODI Series, held at Burgher Recreation Club ground in Colombo from July 15 to 17, 2018. The host won the first two raincurtailed matches by two and seven wickets respectively, while India salvaged some pride, winning the third by 66 runs.

The ODI series will be followed by a five-match T20 Series from July 19 to 24. Ajay Reddy is leading the 17-member Indian team, which includes Lingaraj Routray from Odisha. Lingaraj drew attention in the third ODI, scoring 40 runs.

July 16 (2nd ODI): India 195/3 in overs (Ajay Reddy 66, Sunil R 59*) lost to Sri Lanka 197/3 in 17.2 overs (Ajith Silva 90*, Sahan Kumara 70*) by 7 wkts. MoM: Ajith Silva.

July 17 (3rd ODI): India 323/8 in 40 overs (Ganesh Muhudkar 86, Sunil R 54, Lingaraj Routray 40) beat Sri Lanka 257/10 in 34.1 overs (Sahan Kumara 84; Rambir 3/40, Ajay Reddy 2/36) by 66 runs. MoM: Ganesh Muhudkar.

Man of the series: Ajith Silva (B1 category), Ajay Reddy (B2 category), Durga Rao (B3 category).
